To Mr Averell Harriman, US President’s Envoy to Australia
From Moira Dynon:
On behalf of Aid for India Campaign I request you to convey to your President our great appreciation for the continuing efforts by United States of America to assist the people of India with their immediate food needs—especially resulting from the present drought and crop failures STOP There is profound goodwill amongst the Australian people for the people of democratic and freedom loving India STOP We earnestly trust that the warmth of feeling at present being expressed by the people of Australia for the people of India will soon be reflected in Australian Government action on a massive scale in line with your President’s recent call to all grain producing nations to make supplies of grain available to India on generous terms STOP
Sincerely Moira Dynon
